Shallow form with deep bass response - AXTON

AXTON’s subwoofer ATB120

Whichever way you look at it: you always find a place for the new bass box ATB120 from car audio specialist AXTON. The shallow form with 20 cm subwoofer chassis and reflex port is guaranteed to fit into almost any trunk with its practical dimensions: Flat on the floor or hidden in the the double floor, fixed on the side panel or even on the rear seat backrest – you’ll appreciate the extremely small footprint.
The bass reflex box ATB120 is designed for music lovers who do not want to compromise on luggage space or bass power on the road. Of minimal size 13.5 x 48.5 x 34.5 cm, the ATB120 produces enormous bass waves with the greatest of ease, setting an impressive stage for every electro beat, every guitar riff, and every bass drum.
AXTON’s new bass reflex subwoofer is a completely new design whereby the intended purpose, size of the enclosure, practical suitability, and fitting have been perfectly matched. In the solid enclosure there is a powerful 20 cm woofer at work that packs a punch: With a very stiff cone out of a combination of air dried paper and a woven layer of fiber glass with a butyl rubber surround, and a large 2 x 2 ohms 1.5″/38 mm voice coil on a Kapton former, the driver is well equipped to produce powerful bass with a fast attack.
The enclosure is made of MDF and covered with robust felt. To minimize air turbulence the port is flow optimized. The terminal offers various connection options to allow a free choice of amplifier. With the connector the plug and play bass box is quickly connected to the amplifier, and can be removed from the trunk just as fast if required.
The awesome output of 200 watts RMS, outstanding build quality, and the attractive price of 149 Euro make the smart ATB120 a convincing total package for the straightforward implementation of an in-car bass system.

The brand AXTON has been popular with car enthusiasts for almost 30 years. AXTON’s products are regularly recognized in trade magazines for their high price performance ratio. The range includes amplifiers and various loudspeakers for car retrofitting: component and coaxial systems, bass boxes, and also compact under seat woofers.

Compact, fast, energy-efficient punching

FRIMO EcoCut Compact for proven quality

Compact, fast, energy-efficient punching

02 / 2018 – FRIMO presents the EcoCut punching machine for trimming large and highly complex plastic components, such as instrument panels, door panels and armrests.

This unit has been specifically designed for trimming in ram direction, as well as many other punching directions, and is ideal for large series production thanks to its high efficiency. The product entry point is integrated directly into the lower table. The upper die is mobile and replaces the press ram.
Even though the EcoCut has already gained recognition for its compact design and low overall weight, FRIMO continues further development of this successful model. For example, the height of modern manufacturing facility production areas is constantly becoming lower. The new EcoCut provides the same capabilities without the tall main cylinder that was present on previous models. In its place, two shorter cylinders are positioned on the front of the unit within the housing. With its shorter design, this punching unit is suitable for lower ceilings, and is also considerably easier to move with a forklift.
The ergonomic infeed has been modified for the EcoCut Compact to include a swiveling matrix holder. The holder, which previously swiveled forward out of the machine towards the operator, now swings downwards for loading the instrument panel. Once this is complete, the holder swivels upwards 60°. This ensures that the punching process can be primarily achieved using the main hoist of the machine (ram trimming). Consequently, the number of sliders required for other punching units is minimized.
Thanks to the new swivel unit design with its rear-mounted axis, the vertical stroke of the upper die can be reduced from 1200 mm to 300 mm. This not only reduces cycle times, but also allows the use of a smaller hydraulic pump and smaller electric motor, reducing energy consumption. Using frequency inverters on the motor drives has also improved energy savings.
In the previous model, punching waste was automatically discharged to the back as standard, and when installed in certain positions, such as close to a wall, it could be modified to discharge to the left or right. On the new EcoCut Compact, however, automatic waste discharge is possible in all three directions without requiring modification. Automated machine loading and unloading, e.g. using robots or a linear handling system is also possible, as is linking multiple machines together. Thus, several punching units can be combined, or combined with other systems such as scoring units or other follow-up processes.

Compact and good value – the new AXTON subwoofer ATB216

The new AXTON bass boxr ATB216 has been awarded the the „Price Tip“ accolade from Car & Hifi magazine (issue 1/2018).

Compact and good value - the new AXTON subwoofer ATB216

AXTON’s bandpass subwoofer ATB216

It’s hard to find a car driver who wants to drive through the district with a huge subwoofer box clogging up the complete trunk. A lot of bass fans therefore avoid that with a mini subwoofer – only to find quite often that they are then disappointed by the poor performance. With the new AXTON ATB216 bandpass box, Car & Hifi magazine (issue 1/2018) has now tested a compact subwoofer that they found convincing regarding bass performance and dimensions. Awarded the „Price Tip“ accolade, the ATB216 is the best subwoofer that one can buy for 149 euros.

Car audio specialist AXTON has long been well-known for cleverly constructed subwoofer boxes true to the motto „minimum size, maximum power“. In this respect the new ATB216 is no exception: according to the Car & Hifi testers, it demonstrates „how to get really good bass out of a small volume.“

Only 25.5 cm high and deep, the ATB216 integrates with a sloping rear wall without any trouble, hardly taking up any space in the trunk. The trade journalists praise not only the „robust and compact“ construction of the bandpass housing, but also the intelligent design with two „well made, potent“ 16 cm woofers. „With two 16ers you can really let it rip, especially when they are so solidly built like the AXTON drivers“, is the judgment of the testers. A fat, 25-mm thick magnet ring provides the power, and the generous winding height of the voice-coil wire enables an impressive 6 mm linear stroke in each direction.“

The bass box was also thoroughly convincing in the test lab: „It’s nice to see the good sensitivity of 88 dB, which is very satisfying even with small power amps. (…) One can therefore say that the the ATB216 has achieved a very successful balance.“
In the sound check the new AXTON bandpass profiles as a subwoofer that „does everything right“ is the expert opinion: „It plays cleanly and gives bass drums their full punch“, was the decision of the Car & Hifi testers on the performance of the ATB216. „The sound is full and powerful. Its sound level capability, however, is among the best, which is surprising considering the size. The unit delivers a really fat pressure that shakes the mirrors.“

That the ATB216 passed the test with flying colors not only reinforces the major „Price Tip“ accolade, but also underlines the final judgment of the trade journalists: „One can only describe the ATB216 as a big hit. It makes itself inconspicuous in the trunk, while delivering full bass pressure. The whole thing at just 150 euros is also really good value.“

The brand Zenec stands for pure in-car multimedia. Moniceivers, naviceivers, roof mount and universal monitors sum to a well rounded portfolio of in-car products. Added to that are accessory components like DAB+-tuners, rear view cameras and headphones. All Zenec devices are perfectly compatible with one another.
The Zenec multimedia range is perceived to follow the edge of technology, but also to stand out with an exceptional price/performance value. Yet, quality before quantity is the other important maxim given, Zenec is strictly adhering to.
In 2008, Zenec brought the first E>GO model onto the market, thereby immediately establishing a completely new category of device: the vehicle-specific naviceiver. E>GOs are a perfect fit – visually and technically – in the respective target vehicle, without additional bezels, adapters and hours of installation work. With the new line up 2017 there are E>GOs to fit into over 60 models of vehicle.
Few car media brands have ever started out as successfully as Zenec. Today, Zenec has established itself as undisputed market leader for multimedia navigation and spots – according to the Association for Consumer Research (Gfk) – in the German speaking territories a market share in excess of 35%.
