It is rarely voluntary for a college grad to move back in with their parents. Rather, it is the consequence of too little or no income, high tuition debt, and low prospects on the career front. Rents are high and the job market is competitive, despite a robust forecast for the Class of 2017. Employers demand specific skills but are unwilling to provide the necessary training so entry level employees must get those qualifications somewhere else, either through internships or short-term education providers.

„This sort of unanticipated change can have a devastating impact on the parent/young adult relationship that leaves both parties unsure of how to adjust,“ notes Lesley Mitler, a former successful executive recruiter and co-founder of Early Stage Careers. „This is especially true when the college grad is unemployed. Practice patience as it takes time to find the right job.

Create a structured plan for each day so tasks are accomplished.
Give yourself time to find the right job, and practice job patience.
Consider a career assessment to clarify direction that finds the intersection of your skills and experience with real jobs.
Architect your story and brand yourself; be your own best advocate.
Use effective networking etiquette.

Without the infrastructure of professors, colleagues, career and other campus services, many college grads do not know where to start. They need to set realistic and attainable goals, have a clear and executable job plan and understand the job search process.

Mitler adds: „The vast majority of students are not taught these job search tools in college and truly don’t know what to expect during those first few months as a college graduate, particularly when moving back and living in their parents‘ home.“ Adds Tipograph: „Students can successfully make the transition from living away from home, graduating, then living back at home while searching for a job if they understand and respect the new house rules (which may not be ones they lived by while at college). New Book Shows Apollo Moonlandings As Never Seen Before

During the Apollo missions, the Astronauts were instructed to capture multiple 360 degree panoramas at each location they visited. This was achieved by standing in one spot, then turning slowly in a full circle, whilst firing the shutter on their chest mounted Hasselblad cameras. These individual frames were then printed and glued alongside each other to form a single panoramic image.

Fast forward to the modern day and with the advent of Photoshop, graphic designer and director of Space Memorabilia website, Moonpans.com – Mike Constantine was able to use individual high-resolution scans and combine them digitally to form high quality, seamless panoramic images that had a stunning new clarity and complied more than 50 of them into the book.

Jupiter Outdoor Center’s Summer Adventure Camp Open for Registration

Jupiter Outdoor Center is pleased to announce that registration for 2017 summer camp is now open

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, May 23, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ — Jupiter Outdoor Center is now open for 2017 summer camp registration. JOC Adventure Camp 2017 runs from June 5th-August 11th and is open to children ages 6-14. Camper activities include kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, surfing, and skim boarding at our Friday Fun Beach Day to finish off the week. The camp is the only fully accredited American Camp Association in Palm Beach County where campers learn core values about water sports, safety, and marine life.

A typical week at JOC’s Summer Adventure Camp includes a short paddling demonstration where campers learn the basics and safety of paddle-sports. Campers explore the Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Beach for swimming and manatee watching, the Loxahatchee River Center for the live touch tanks, the sandbar on the lower Loxahatchee River for Frisbee and other activities, and Jupiter River for paddleboard and kayak games. Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Loxahatchee River Center and its award winning staff, opens its doors to our campers for hands-on, up-close and personal instruction about our local ecosystems. The center will bring us to the best locations where the campers will get hands on fun, with some learning on the side including seine and dip netting instruction as well as a live touch tank. In addition, JOC will be partnering up with Save Our Sisters Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon boat Team, where they will be providing us with their dragon boat for use on Wednesdays of every week. Campers will pile into the SOS’s, 22 person dragon boat for a fun, active, team-building experience. Fridays are beach days for surfing and skim boarding. Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Registration is limited and spaces are filling up so make sure to sign up before it’s too late!
